Republic Day is celebrated every year in the country with great pomp. On 26 January 2023, we will make our 74th Republic Day. On this day, programs inspired by patriotism are organized all over the country and the tricolor is hoisted. The Constitution of India was implemented in the year 1950.

The Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 to become an independent republic and establish the rule of law in the country. The Constitution was implemented on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system. That is, the constitution came into force after 2 years 11 months, and 18 days. India was declared a full republic on this day.

At the same time, 15 August is celebrated as Independence Day. On this day in 1947, India got independence from the British. On this day also, patriotic programs are organized across the country and the tricolor is hoisted. But the way of celebrating 15 August and 26 January is different. The flag is hoisted in different ways on both days.

1. On August 15, the tricolor is hoisted by pulling it upwards.

2. On August 15, the tricolor flag is hoisted.

3. On Republic Day, the flag is tied at the top and it is hoisted by opening it there.

4. Flag hoisting on Republic Day is called. While the flag hoisting is done on 26 January.

5. The President hoists the storm on Republic Day.

6. Prime Minister hoists the flag on Independence Day.

7. The flag is hoisted on the Rajpath on Republic Day.

8. Flag hoisting is done at Red Fort on Independence Day.
