The NATIONAL TRIBAL DANCE FESTIVAL will be hosted at Science College Ground as part of the Chhattisgarh government’s Tourism Development Plan.
The National Tribal Dance Festival is a three-day event.Tribal Dance Groups from several Indian states and union territories will perform at the festival.
International participants will also take part in the festival, representing and honouring their country’s tribal folk culture
Artists from various tribal cultures from countries such as Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Syria, Mali, Palestine, and the Kingdom of Eswatini will perform during the three-day National Tribal Dance Festival in Raipur.
The National Tribal Dance Festival, which will take place in Raipur from October 28 to November 1, will feature Indian and international dance ensembles, according to a statement released by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board on Monday.
The three-day festival, which is part of the Chhattisgarh government’s tourism development plan, will feature artists from various tribal communities from countries such as Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Syria, Mali, Palestine, and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Artists from Chhattisgarh’s tribal territories of Bastar, Dantewada, Koriya, Korba, Bilaspur, Gariabandh, Mainpur, Dhura, Dhamtari, Surguja, and Jashpur will display their own unique history, culture, and traditions.

FIRST EDITION OF NATIONAL TRIBAL DANCE FESTIVAL
The first edition of the National Tribal Dance Festival, held in 2019, drew over one lakh individuals from 25 Indian states and six other nations.
This year’s festival will feature special dance forms from tribes from 27 states, including Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.
There will be two kinds of dance performances: ‘wedding ceremonies’ and ‘other prominent rites.’
The festival will feature discussions on tribal community economic development projects in addition to exhibiting indigenous art and culture.
“The tribal community of Chhattisgarh accounts for a significant portion of the state’s total population. Our goal is to conserve tribal culture by launching activities that promote both tangible and intangible aspects of tribal culture. The National Tribal Dance Festival is a one-of-a-kind event that will not only display various tribal dance forms but also aid in the preservation and promotion of tribal traditions and values, according to culture minister Amarjeet Bhagat.
The visitors will be able to sample scrumptious Chhattisgarh tribal food, view tribal-inspired fashion exhibitions, and shop for local and tribal handicrafts, according to the release.
On October 30, the festival will come to a close.
