Mini India has expanded its offerings with the launch of two new cars: the Mini Cooper S and the Countryman Electric.

The Mini Cooper S, priced at ₹ 44.90 lakh, features a refreshed design with subtle changes, including a new octagonal grille, updated headlights and tail lights, and larger alloy wheel options. It is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine that delivers 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.6 seconds. While it doesn’t have direct rivals, it can be considered an alternative to luxury compact SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, and Audi Q3.

The Countryman Electric, priced at ₹ 54.90 lakh, shares its platform with the BMW iX1 and boasts an updated design with an octagonal grille and new LED lighting. It includes a round 9.4-inch central infotainment display and an optional head-up display. Powered by a 204 hp electric motor generating 250 Nm of torque, the Countryman Electric accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.6 seconds. Its 66.45 kWh battery provides a range of 462 km (WLTP) and supports 130 kW DC charging, allowing for a 10% to 80% charge in under 30 minutes. It is positioned as a rival to the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the BMW iX1.
