Because March 23 is National Puppy Day, get ready for an overload of cuteness! National Puppy Day, which was established in 2006, is a paw-some day for all dog lovers to celebrate unconditional love and coo over the incredibly gorgeous furballs who bring so much joy into this world. While we’re all softies when it comes to our pets, today is also meant to raise awareness about puppy mills and encourage potential pet owners to consider adoption.
When Is National Puppy Day 2022?
On March 23, National Puppy Day honors man’s closest companion. On this day, all of the cutest and most adorable puppies are spotlighted and treated like royalty!
History Of National Puppy Day 2022
Colleen Paige’s objective is to raise public awareness about the amount of dogs who need to be rescued every year. It’s also a great time to flaunt your dog’s supermodel side and lavish extra cuddles on them for all the joy they bring. So relax and enjoy the never-ending stream of gorgeous puppy photographs, but keep in mind that today can be the greatest day to bring home your own fluffy canine as your next best buddy!
Colleen Paige established National Dog Day in 2004, which was eventually endorsed by the New York State Legislature in 2013. Colleen adopted her first dog, “Sheltie,” when she was ten years old, and this day is commemorated on August 26. Colleen has inspired millions of people with her compassion and drawn attention to animals in need all over the world since then. She has brought attention to the dogs who risk their lives every day for personal protection, law enforcement, the disabled, our freedom, and our safety.
Because shelters normally have the biggest influx of dogs around summertime, National Puppy Day and National Dog Day are now wonderful times to adopt a dog. With 30 to 40 animals entering the shelter every day, we rely on public support to preserve lives, and these national holidays encourage and urge people to adopt, contribute, and love their pets more each year.
