His son, Eric Trump, shared a video on social media showing the plane landing. Trump had insisted on continuing with his schedule, stating he wouldn’t let the shooting disrupt his plans.

He was expected to be formally nominated as the Republican candidate to challenge President Biden in the upcoming election. The convention was also anticipated to see the announcement of his running mate on Monday. Trump’s speech on Thursday would officially accept the nomination and mark the end of the convention.
