The East Coast Railway will operate special trains to Puri this month to accommodate the increased passenger traffic for the Sunabhesa (golden attire) and Adharapana (sweet water offering) rituals of Lord Jagannath temple.
For Sunabhesa on July 17th, 43 special trains will run from various locations, including Paradeep, Angul, Bhadrak, Junagarh Road, Khurda Road, Daspalla, Sompeta, Palasa, Kendujhargarh, Gunupur, Jagadalpur, Sonepur, and Sambalpur.
Similarly, 33 special trains will run to Puri from Paradeep, Angul, Bhadrak, Daspalla, Palasa, Kendujhargarh, and Khurda Road for Adharapana on July 18th.
To handle the post-ritual crowds, the East Coast Railway is running special trains back from Puri to Bhadrak, Paradeep, Angul, Palasa, Kendujhargarh, Daspalla, and Brahmapur on July 19th.
