Kerala’s Health Minister announced two new monkeypox (Mpox) cases. Both infected men recently returned from the UAE and are receiving treatment at Pariyaram Medical College in Kannur. Contact tracing is underway, and the health department is urging anyone who had contact with the patients to monitor themselves for symptoms. A rapid response team has been activated, additional isolation facilities are being prepared, and awareness campaigns, particularly targeting vulnerable groups, are being intensified. This follows previous monkeypox cases reported in Kerala in September.
