K.P. Sharma Oli has been appointed as Nepal’s Prime Minister for the third time. He will lead a new coalition government formed after Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda lost a vote of confidence. This new government faces the challenge of providing political stability.
Oli, along with his new cabinet, will be sworn in on Monday. He secured the support of 165 members of parliament, including 77 from his party and 88 from the Nepali Congress.
This is Oli’s third stint as Prime Minister, having previously served from 2015 to 2016 and again from 2018 to 2021.
