“No Gain No Love,” a new romantic comedy starring Shin Min Ah, Kim Young Dae, Lee Sang Yi, and Han Ji Hyun, is generating excitement. The series reunites Shin Min Ah and Lee Sang Yi, who previously worked together in “Hometown Cha Cha Cha.”
The teaser features Shin Min Ah as Son Hae Yong, who humorously complains about always losing money when she receives congratulatory gifts. She jokingly emphasizes that “Yong” means “zero” in Korean, highlighting her recurring financial misfortunes.
The plot revolves around Hae-yeong, who fakes a wedding with Kim Ji-uk, a convenience store employee, to secure a promotion at her company. Kim Ji-uk, known for his good character, agrees to be her fake groom.
“No Gain No Love” premieres globally on Prime Video on August 26, with new episodes airing weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays starting in late August. It will also be available on tvN and TVING in Korea.
The cast also includes Lee Sang-yi as Bok Gyu-hyun, a wealthy CEO, and Han Ji-hyeon as Nam Ja-yeon, a popular web novel writer.
Directed by Kim Jung-sik (“Strong Girl Nam-Soon” and “Work Later, Drink Now”) and written by Kim Hye-young (“Her Private Life”), “No Gain No Love” marks Shin Min Ah’s return to television after a two-year absence following her role in “Our Blues.” She is also known for her roles in other popular romantic comedies like “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Oh My Venus,” and “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.”
